HIKE AT CHINQUAPIN TRAIL & GRAND FALLS SWIMMING HOLE
We will start our day heading to Big Sugar Creek State Park in Missouri. The Ozark Chinquapin Trail winds through Elk River Breaks Natural Area and is ideal for those who want to enjoy the beauty and solitude of the area. This 3.25 miles loop follows a small bedrock stream, which is surrounded with steep hills on both sides. The trail then climbs into the upland woodlands and glades, with opportunities to see local plants and animals, and some wonderful views across the rugged Elk River landscape.
After a great hike we will head Grand Falls swimming area to cool off in one of the areas greatest swimming holes. This large swimming hole with pool-like calm waters makes for a spectacular way to cool off. This combination is the perfect day Exploring the Ozarks!
