Evening Hike & Yoga

One of yoga’s (many) beauties is it can literally be done anywhere so why not take it outside? Nature enhances your practice and we want the full benefit! We will start the evening with a short 2 mile hike at Busiek - an easy hike with a small incline, great for all skill levels! We will take in all the beauty and simplicity of this trail as we immerse ourselves in nature before our practice. We will then unroll our mats and settle into the sounds of nature as we start the yoga session that will replenish your energy.

Today's yoga session will be led by Brooke Frazier: Brooke is from Springfield, Missouri and completed her certification as a Holy Yoga Instructor after falling in love with the integration of deepening her physical health along with spiritual health through yoga. Brooke teaches a variety of levels that allows her students to connect with their body and heart on the mat, while being surrounded by the beautiful outdoors. Brooke also teaches first grade at Dayspring Christian school, works at Bridges for Youth after-school program, and teaches yoga in her free time. She loves getting outside to hike, camp, kayak, and stay active.

*If you prefer to drive yourself, you can meet us at Busiek Parking Lot at 6:15 pm.

PICKUP LOCATIONS

  • SPRINGFIELD: 5 Pound Apparel at Farmers Park (2144 E Republic Road, Springfield, MO 65804)
    PICK UP TIME: 5:45 PM

  • If you want to drive yourself, you can meet us in Busiek at 6:15 pm. ($5 discount)

PACKING LIST

WHAT TO WEAR?

  • Athletic clothing

  • Sunscreen / Bug repellent

  • Yoga mat or blanket

  • Water and snacks for the evening.

  • Camera (optional)

  • Hiking poles (optional)

SCHEDULE

  • Meet at 5:45 pm at Farmers Park

  • Hike around 2 miles through easy terrain at Busiek State Forest.

  • Settle into the sounds of nature as we start the yoga session that will replenish your energy.

  • Drive back and arrive to Springfield around 8:45 pm.
