EVENT DETAILS

Join 37 North Expeditions for a family-friendly winter adventure exploring two fascinating Ozark caves, covering a total of about 1.5 miles of walking over the course of the day.

Our journey begins with a guided tour through a historic cave with narrow, damp passages and low-light conditions. This cave is rich in geological formations and local lore, offering a glimpse into the underground world of the Ozarks. Expect about 0.5 miles of walking inside this cave on uneven surfaces.

Afterward, if the weather allows, we’ll enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch at a nearby park surrounded by natural springs and scenic bluffs. Please bring your own lunch and dress for winter weather.

We’ll then continue to our second cave, featuring roughly 1 mile of walking through dark, damp corridors and bluff-side formations. This cave also carries stories of early Ozark settlers who once used these bluffs as shelter. Sturdy footwear and caution are recommended for both caves, and families should be aware that some areas require careful footing.

This adventure offers the perfect mix of exploration, history, and outdoor fun—an ideal way to enjoy a winter day in the Ozarks.

*This trip has a minimum participation requirement of 7 participants.
