Outdoor Enthusiasts

FOUNDER’S STORY

Cristina and I moved back to the Ozarks. After our return, nature became our release and our escape from reality. We spent all of our spare time outdoors. We realized that the Ozarks has so much to offer when it comes to outdoor experiences. You can hike, paddle, mountain bike, see waterfalls, bluff lines, rolling mountains. How many people have lived here their entire lives not realizing what was right in their backyard? This got us thinking about ways to change that. In 2018 we dreamt up 37 North.

37 North provides personalized, safe, and unforgettable outdoor experiences right here in the Ozarks. When you’re on an experience with us, we hope you feel empowered and more connected to the outdoors. We hope your adventure is not only fun, but allows you to experience the transformative power of nature that has been so beneficial to us.

Happy Trails,

Danny

2017 was starting off to be one of the best years of my life. I had been working in corporate architecture in New York City. While working in NYC, I started adventure guiding on the side, doing everything from day trips upstate to larger international adventures to destinations like Kilimanjaro in Africa. I had finally decided to bite the bullet and take a risky career change that I had been wanting to do for a long time.

I accepted a job as the Expedition Manager at a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World in Ecuador. My then girlfriend, now wife, and I were loving life and excited about the road ahead.

On April 15th we got a phone call that was life altering. My Dad was formally diagnosed with terminal brain cancer at the age of 56 and would be undergoing surgery. Less than a day after that call, I was flying back to my hometown in Missouri to be with him. I knew that I would not be returning to Ecuador.
