This scenic out-and-back hike follows the Kings River through a shaded Ozark hardwood forest, crossing clear streams and limestone bluffs along the way. The highlight is the Glory Hole, a rare natural waterfall that pours straight through a perfectly round hole in an overhanging rock ledge after heavy rains—an iconic and almost surreal sight. When water levels are lower, the area still impresses with mossy rock walls, shallow pools, and a peaceful riverside setting.
The trail is generally moderate, with some rocky footing and gentle elevation changes. It’s especially rewarding in late winter and spring when water flow is strongest, though it remains a quiet, scenic walk year-round. Expect birdsong, river views, and plenty of photo opportunities.
